Incorporating technology in the classroom has the potential to enhance student learning and engagement. However, it is important to implement technology in a strategic and effective manner. This study reviews various strategies for incorporating technology in the classroom including using interactive whiteboards, gamification, and mobile devices in 2 different Turkish high schools with the participation of 87 students. The study also discusses the drawbacks and benefits of using technology in the classroom and provides recommendations for effective implementation. Results indicate that interactive whiteboards enhance student engagement and participation. Gamification techniques, such as incorporating game elements in non-game contexts, have been found to increase student motivation and engagement. Mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, can provide students with access to a wide range of educational resources and support personalized learning. This study underlines the significance of teacher training and support for the successful integration of technology in the classroom. Teachers require proper training on how to use technology and consistent support to incorporate technology into their teaching approach. Additionally, it is crucial to utilize technology to augment current teaching methods rather than to substitute them. To sum up, the research indicates that the incorporation of technology in the classroom can have a beneficial effect on student learning and engagement.
